About the object
Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) was discovered in January 2025 at the Mount Lemmon observatory in Arizona. In autumn 2025 it came close to both the Sun and the Earth. Its green head is coloured by diatomic carbon glowing in sunlight; the thin straight tail is gas blown away by the solar wind.
